Organize your Life #2: Schedule your day.

I met a friend who schedules his day down to the hour. He says there’s 24 hours in a day, say you sleep 8, that’s 16 hours left to accomplish several actions towards your goals in life. Even if you have a 9-5 job you still have 8 hours so schedule your day down to the very hour.

How can you say you don’t have time to work out? Working out only takes an hour not 8.

Sure watching your favorite show may be fun but jeez it does waste those hours accomplishing nothing unless you’re a multitasker and can do something while watching television. I try and blog while watching TV but at times I notice myself taking forever to write reviews just because I get so sucked into old Arrested Development episodes.

Try it out. It’s easy to say you don’t have time for something but when you break down your entire day to the hour and see what you do and accomplish you realize how much time you’re wasting doing nothing when you can be doing something productive. At least I do. I used to schedule my days but having a crazy work schedule it gets difficult, but I need to get back into the swing of it.

Many people say you have plenty of time to accomplish things but the truth is, you don’t. Stop thinking you have all the time in the world because you might be letting great opportunities pass by. Don’t throwaway a decade, DO SOMETHING with it. Or your day at least.
